Gah! Stupid sinuses. My head hurts and I want to curl up in bed with a nice hot cup of tea and a good book (or maybe a good DVD). Instead I will stay here at work, chasing after small children who take great delight in scalping each other. You think I'm joking but O has an honest to goodness bare spot on his scalp from the huge chunk of hair B pulled out. Happy Monday all!

On the plus side, there will be new 'Courage' to post when I get home tonight. :)

Feel better soon!

*sends the hobbits over to prepare your smial to be cosy and nice for you to cuddle up when you get home and to not raid your fridge and pantry.*

Aw, thank you. They did a lovely job of warming the smial up and making everything cozy for me. And there was no danger of them raiding the pantry cause it is bare. Not a crumb. I think I'm going to go order a pizza.

I feel your pain! I just got back from the allergist, whom I had to go see because my asthma kicked up totally out of the blue and I realized - belatedly - that my "rescue inhaler" was empty. So the 3:00 appointment didn't get me in to see her until 3:35 and the lads got off the bus at 4 so I just got home to find them upset because Elder Son forgot to bring his key with him and they had to wait outside for me to get here. (Could somebody tell me why it is that a doctor NEVER, EVER takes a patient in at the time of their appointment?????) But the good side is they sent me home with a whole bagful of goodies: rescue inhaler, nose spray, asthma therapy/steroid stuff to do every twelve hours. I didn't even realize I was sick until she looked up my nose, in my ears, down my throat, in my eyes, yadda yadda. No wonder I was feeling puny! Good thing she gave me all those freebies.

Now that I'm reminded just how awful it is not to be able to draw in enough air to breathe properly, can SickPippinfic be far behind????

Asthma is one thing I've luckily never had to experience first hand. If I ever did start getting asthma symptoms, I would probably freak out a little bit. I had a good friend die from a bad asthma attack, when I was fourteen, and it scarred me for life. I always get nervous when people I know have a attack, even if it isn't that bad. Some of the kids at work get it and it is very hard to listen to their wheezing.

How awful about your friend! Mine has never been scary, just highly uncomfortable, but both my boys have it and when the younger one was 8 months old I remember racing to the pediatrician with him, one hand on the steering wheel, the other on his little chest, making sure he was breathing. In the winter, he is prone to flare ups again if he gets a bad cold. He was diagnosed with RSV back then, and is prone to upper respiratory infections in the cold and rainy days of winter. Elder son carries an inhaler with him always, as I have done for the past few months. When I read sick Pippin fic where he's having such breathing difficulties, I can well relate, to both the patient and his caretakers!

I hope your head is feeling better. BTW, are you going to post Ch. 15 tonight? I love that chapter!

I'm hoping to post bathfic tomorrow, if my trusty betas get it back to me in time to work on it tonight before I go to bed. Don't have a lot of time for it in the morning before trekking off to Mordor, and I won't be home until late tomorrow afternoon. But we shall see. Either way, I'll be checking in on yours tomorrow. :-)

Hugs and feel better!!!

(((Paulette)))

That RSV is one nasty thing. The poor little ones get it, and then they are just sick forever. I'm glad your little one made it through all of the badness.

I'm looking forward to bathfic, so I hope your betas get it back to you promptly!

It's a little early to tell, but at the moment my head feels better, although my throat still hurts. I'm going to be optimistic and hope this means I don't have to go through the day with my head feeling as though it weighs twice as much as usual, lol.

I hope so, too. I started on Advair today, plus a brand new rescue inhaler (which I've already used once this morning), and I'm just as jittery as Pippin on a sugar high. I was up until around 1:30 this morning incorporating bathfic beta, so hopefully it will be in posting shape pretty soon. I hope you like it, because you've given me so many lovely stories to enjoy lately (every chapter is a story in and of itself to my way of thinking) and I want to pay you back in some small way. :-)

Thanks for the hugs, they are much appreciated. Only time will tell if I'm truly feeling better today, but at the moment things are looking up. :)
