Okay, maybe it's time to stop studying and go to bed.

The online practice test that comes with the computer book I'm studying is trying really hard to convince me that a gigabyte is equal to a trillion bytes. Um, no. That would be a terabyte. And besides that, the test gives the wrong page number to study to get it right, lol. I had to double check to make sure I hadn't wandered into the wrong edition of the book by accident, but no, just an error on the test's part. But hey, at least I know enough to know it's the test that's wrong, not me.

I've been through the practice tests for all the chapters we're responsible for, some of them more than once, and I haven't scored less than 90% on any of them. Now, I have no idea how that will translate to the professor's exam, but it gives me hope that maybe I'll pass, at least.

Okay, going to bed now.

Good luck! Hope everything goes well. (And I hope you're having fun in Pittsburgh -- I kinda miss the place.)

I'm curious: who are some of your instructors? I wonder if I know any of them.

I don't know how much contact you would have had with most of the instructors in the program since we're pretty self-contained, but you may have run across Ellen Detlefsen, (http://www.sis.pitt.edu/~ellen/) who is the core faculty of the medical informatics program.

I don't have much time for fun, what with work and school and all, but I'm doing my best. Next weekend there is a Zombie Walk in Monroeville and that promises to be a blast.

Have you got all settled into your new house and job?

Goodnight

but no, just an error on the test's part. But

Give it a chance. Computers can only count to one you know.

That's true. I suppose keeping track of millions and billions and trillions would be difficult for something that doesn't have the ability to conceive of anything beyond 0 or 1. Let's just hope it's a human grading the real test, since there was a similar question on it. :)

Hope the exam goes well and that you get a chance to have some fun afterwards!

A zombie walk? That sounds like my day to day life! Hope the version you are attending is more fun.:)

I'm expecting the zombie walk to be fun. A whole mess of folks, shambling through Monroeville, how could that not be fun? I know [livejournal.com profile] pumpkinescobar took his Resusci-Annie head last time and I'm thinking I might need to carry mine around as well. ;)

I'll try to restrain myself, but you know, you put a brain in front of a zombie and only so much restraint is likely to be shown.
