I'm conflicted. There's a couple of articles I should really go to the SIS library and track down for this paper I'm working on. But that means not getting home to actually start writing the paper until probably close to eight.

Someone please remind me why I thought going back to school was a good plan. I hate being a student. I hated it ten years ago and I hate it now.

Anywhere I can drop you off? I can come by around 6 and at least give you a ride to the SIS library...

Thanks in advance for the ride. It's such crappy weather that it was even harder to convince myself I should go to the library.

It really is hard to go back. I don't remember needing as much "me time" or tiring so easily when I was in college. But now...

I think it's the difference between being just a student and being someone who's working, who's also a student. I have a hard time not allowing myself any me time, and then I get stuck with weeks like this where I reap the consequences. Oh well, just another month and a half and I'll be done with the first semester. :)

But it's only one year! It will be over quick! I know it's hateful, but you're smart and resourceful and you will triumph!

One year. I keep telling myself this, one year.

Money. You're doing it because after you graduate you'll be able to get a job where you'll be making "real" money!

Hang in there!

The discouraging thing is, I'm not really sure how much money I'll actually be able to make, coming out of this program without having enough time to do a real internship. I'll do a practicum for twelve weeks in the summer semester, but that's all I'll be able to get. :(

Keep networking in the library world...there's bound to be something to tide you over. Who knows, the perfect job might just be waiting for you!

Someone please remind me why I thought going back to school was a good plan.

...because you don't want to work in childcare forever?

And you wanted a good excuse to come back home. Which you did. And I am so glad.

I suspect that ne next semester will seem easier, as you get back in the groove.

BTW, once AJ and I get the coffeeshop up and running, you are permanently offered a job by me. You have coffeeshop experience, and I adore you. And I am the one that does the hiring at the moment!

Going back to school was a good idea because you can get your degree in library science and do with your life what you want to do with your life. You can do it! (Go auntiemeesh! Go auntiemeesh!)

Thanks.

I played hooky from work and managed to get one of the papers done and have started working on the second one, plus I finally got a few grades back from recalcitrant professors, so I'm feeling marginally better today. :D
