Isn't this the cutest little Eeyore ever? I've always sympathized with Eeyore the most out of all the A. A. Milne characters. We're two peas in a pod, perhaps. Or maybe two thistles in a patch?

Am tired.

I stayed home from work yesterday and Wednesday because of the stinking cold I knew I'd have after getting the One Paper to Rule Them All done.

So today was the first day back and I worked a full day at the day care and then babysat afterwards. Brilliant planning, if I do say so myself.

I should go to bed, but that's just not fun. I can remember a time when I would crawl into bed and feel warm and cozy and comforted. If I had my pillows and blankets wrapped around me I was home. I haven't felt that way in a very long time. I think it's been at least since I moved to NH, but probably a lot longer than that. Too many restless nights spent battling my inability to sleep - now my bed is a battle ground rather than a cozy home. *sigh*

I need to buy plastic for the windows. There's a serious draft blowing in and it's cold!

I wouldn't have recognized it as Eeyore, but is sure is a cute little donkey! I hope that you managed to have a good night's sleep last night, and had a great day today, so that you are now feeling like tigger!

Thor behaved himself pretty well and let me get a whole six hours of sleep before crawling up onto my head, so today wasn't all that bad.

Sorry you haven't been feeling well, and that you're not sleeping. (niggling thought: have you had your thyroid levels checked?)

For some reason, my almost-three-year-old niece thinks Eeyore is a rhinoceros.

I don't remember if I've had my thyroid checked or not. At one point, whichever doctor I was seeing at the time wanted to run some tests for something completely unrelated but I don't remember if he actually did, or if the other problem resolved itself. Anything like that will have to wait until I've got out of school and have a job that comes with healthcare.

Well, when you do get it checked, it's a very simple blood test.

And then if it shows anything, you have to wait at least six months to get an appt. with an endocrinologist, so you might have better health insurance by then.
