Dec. 26th, 2006 04:02 pmSo that 'almond milk tea doesn't agree with me' ick I was feeling yesterday afternoon is apparently instead a stomach bug. The second one I've had in three months. Not fair!
I watched Doctor Who yesterday. My love for David Tennant grows bigger and bigger. His facial expressions every time he mentioned Rose were just heartbreaking, especially when he talks about having lost her, and then later when he's reassuring Donna that Rose isn't dead. And I loved how insightful Donna was at the end, telling the Doctor to find a new companion because sometimes he needs someone to stop him. She so completely nailed him, there. Without a human companion to keep him grounded, it would be very easy for him to lose himself in what he can do, losing sight of what he should do.
I was a little annoyed by the Rachnos/spider thing. She made me think of Natira, who was a very cool arachnid-type evil alien, but this thing was just way overacted. Painfully so. But then, it wouldn't be Doctor Who if there wasn't that element of campy cheese somewhere.

Date: 2006-12-27 06:33 pm (UTC)I totally loved the Christmas special. So much so I watched it twice! I loved the beginning to bits. *SMACK!* "What was that for?" "Get me to the church!", bwa!
Much use of the sonic screwdriver, and Raknos was a little annoying, but still, it was way fun with just enough of a touch of sadness.
