auntiemeeshArrrgghhh! I did it again. I thought I was taping Lost. I was out and remembered at seven-thirty that I didn't have the VCR set. So I ran home, made it in with one minute to spare, switched tapes, got the tv turned on to the right channel and went off to work on costume stuff with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
eve11 downstairs. We had Lost on, so I saw the first fifteen minutes or so. Then the housemate came home and wanted to watch America's Next Top Model. No problem, say I. I'm taping Lost upstairs, so I'll watch it later. Well, it's later. And I don't have any Lost on my tape. Here's the problem. I have the VCR programmed to record it every week and the program had started recording before I got home (I always set it two minutes early). When I took the other tape out and put the Lost tape in, it apparently negated the program, so it stopped recording, which I didn't realize until I went to watch it just now.
I think it should be available for download by tomorrow morning, but I don't know for sure, and I hate waiting, anyway. I want to see my Lost!
Some day I will learn patience. Then I will be a happier person.
Tomorrow for the apron and then on to the homemade bias tape. I am making progress. Everything takes three hours longer than I planned, but it is getting done. I've also found a hair solution. I couldn't find a decent, cheap wig anywhere (that's where I was at seven-thirty) but I found these hair fringes. I don't know what they are really called, but it's a thin fringe of hair attached to a headband, so it hangs down the back of my head. I bought two of them and with both of them on together, it's thick enough to fudge. The only thing I have to figure out with them is how to disguise the headbands. I'll have to get some ribbon or something to cover them. It's all doable. If only I had a few more days...
