Well, I'm off in Morgantown for the weekend. The hobbit dress is all done (except for a few minor details). I forgot my camera but [livejournal.com profile] eve11 has her digital camera and has promised to take some pictures. I'll try to post one as soon as I can. [livejournal.com profile] dreamflower02, your tips on how to make bias tape were very helpful. Thanks. :)

After this weekend, I'm going back and reading all the stuff everyone's written in the past few weeks. I will also be getting the next chapter of 'Courage' up as soon as it comes back from betaing.

I did get a challenge up for [livejournal.com profile] hobbit_ficathon. The challenge for this weekend is to write a hobbit ghost story, in honor of Sunday being Halloween.

I'm very late on Lost this week, due to the costume rush, but here's a few things.

Just a few quick thoughts (better later than never). I heard mixed reviews of this episode, but I loved it. I was happy to see Kate staying on the beach while Jack went off to the caves. It is good that she is not just blindly following after him.

I loved Charlie's face when Locke found his guitar. "Do you want your guitar?" "Yes." "More than your drug?" "More than you'll ever know." He just looked so happy strumming it in the evening. I'm excited about next week's episode, although I'm a bit disappointed by the fact that his withdrawal ep is being diluted by Jack being trapped in a cave-in. Still, it should be good!

I'm so glad to have been of some help! I remember how excited I found it to be able to make my own bias tape--never have to quit in the middle of something to go to the store again! I'll be looking forward to the pics!

It was challenging and took all afternoon. And when I was done and started sewing it onto the bodice, it occurred to me that none of the seams lined up with the seams of the bodice, but you can't really tell unless you are much closer than anyone is likely to get tonight, lol.

It is a fiddly little process, but worth it in the long run. With practice those little seams become almost invisible, so it doesn't matter if they line up. I'm eager to see your results. And as I said, anyone close enough to see those kinds of things probably has something else on their mind! LOL!

He probably was close enough to see the seams but that isn't what he was interested in, so it wasn't an issue, lol.

I hope you have a good time, hon. I'll have your beta to you by tomorrow mid-day at the latest. It's late, late, late, late, late right now and I'm hitting the hay. I look forward to the chapter with my coffee and a hopefully clearer head! :-)
