I'm trying to:

a. eat healthier,
b. eat less and
c. stop eating out so much.

They sort of all go along together. But I've only just started this morning and now I'm hungry. With many hours to go until supper. Woe.

Eat something small and healthy to avoid ravenous apetite in the evening. I'm trying to eat healthier, less, and better distributed (not all in the evening). Carrots are my best friends these days :p
But it does work - by the by you'll feel less hungry... though I still don't know whether I've lost any wait. I neither feel nor look thinner :p

I'm working on the small and healthy stuff. Carrots are okay, I like the taste, but they don't really satisfy me for more than ten minutes or so. I need to come up with something better for breakfast than a handful of strawberries, though, because that just didn't leave me feeling happy this morning.

I hope you are going to eat lunch some time before supper! It's hard enough trying to eat healthier, etc. in any circumstances, but much harder if you try to go too many hours without eating at all!

Anyway, good luck with that!

I already had lunch when I posted this - a bowl of pasta and a handful of baby carrots. Now I've just eaten a healthy-ish supper and I'm still feeling hungry but I'm going to let it settle for a while and see if I don't fill up in a bit. I'm almost certainly going to need some sort of snack later this evening, however, which may involve some sort of chocolate/peanut butter combination.

MMMM - chocolate, mmmm - peanut butter! Sounds like a relatively healthy and very tasty snack. Just make sure it is dark chocolate!

Good luck! I've been trying to eat healthier, too, or at least not go out so much. It's as much to keep my bank account healthy as it is me. I even actually cooked last night!

Yeah, the bank account issue is a big one for me, as well. Sadly, I have the least amount of will power of anyone I know, so once I get hungry all my good intentions go out the door. :(

I have those same goals! Plus drink less. If I eat out less I want gain weight as easily I'm fairly sure.

Anyway, good luck.

Smaller snacks means smaller slacks!

I don't have to worry about the drinking less, as I barely drink anything at all, alcoholic or not. I should probably put 'drink more' on my list. :)

I'm working on 1 and 3. In my case, that takes care of 2.
Good luck, and keep up the good work (it's never too early for a pat on the back!).

I'm not sure how much good work I've done. One day and I already pretty much went off track. Yesterday I had four dove chocolates with peanut butter because I was so hungry and I didn't have anything else healthier to snack on. Clearly I need to buy some wheat things or something.

As all the magazine articles say: you need to protein to sustain you so you don’t get hungry again so soon. So, the peanut butter was atually a good idea. :) Or you could put some cheese spread on the carrots. It sounds counterintuitive, but it fills you up more, so the food “lasts longer” so you eat less. (Or, you could try eating your lunch while feeding the babies ages 9-months-plus at the daycare where you work -- you’ll hardly get to eat anything at all, and your pants sizes will start dropping in no time!)

Good luck on the plan!
