Gah! Well, at least we won Pennsylvania. I feel good knowing that my vote helped the state swing in the proper direction, even if the rest of the country goes the other way.

All in all, it's been pretty discouraging to see the way the election has been going. Can you believe that people had to wait in line for upwards of ten hours in places? How absurd is that? There's been a huge fuss about provisional votes here in Pittsburgh. They won't get counted until Friday. And it's expected that the lawyers will contest probably half of them.

I was honestly shocked at how many states voted to ban gay marriages. I don't know why I'm shocked, really, but I just keep expecting people to be better than that.

Well, I think I'll join pipspebble in New Zealand for the next four years. Maybe next time around, there will be a stronger Democratic candidate to vote for, one who can really rally everyone. I'll keep hoping.

I hear Peter Jackson is working on another movie. Mayhap we could find employment with him? ;-) Trying to see the light, honestly. But it's still so very, very dark.....I may have to go write this darkness out. I can sense intense angst brewing in the area of my brain that dreams up Pippinfic. Got to channel it somehow...

A few friends and I had thought to make for Canada as it is closer, but your idea sounds tempting. My state went completely the wrong way as always, but a few of us keep trying. If you make it to New Zealand, send a post card!

I suppose the best thing is to stick around and keep trying, so that we get better results in 2008. Besides, they probably don't get Lost in NZ, lol.
