Apocalypse Now

It's the second time today that the sky has gone black and the rain has come down hard and fast (and you know, horizontal), with lightning and thunder occuring nearly simultaneously. Fun.

oh no, I hope they don't come here and scare Miss Sunny out into the wilds again. Shadow escaped yesterday so I did make an "improvement" to the gate. Hopefully they will both be safely contained when I get home!

It certainly unsettled the cats a bit. Thor hid under/behind the desk during the worst of it, and now that it's over Mal is acting a bit clingier than usual.

This was certainly a good one. Apparently it's quite a mess out there, which doesn't surprise me, considering how high the winds were at one point.

Hope you were inside when all this happened! It sounds intense ... but I sure wish we would get some rain here, even if it did come horizontally!

I was luckily at home. I had intended to go onto campus to return books to the library but decided to stay in out of the rain, since I left my umbrella in eve11's car. This turned out to be a good decision when the end of the world hit, midafternoon.
