I've been making my way through season one of Gilmore Girls via Netflix, one dvd at a time. It's killing me. My preferred way of absorbing a tv show is through marathon viewing sessions and this is forcing me to limit myself to four episodes at a time, with a wait of several days in between. I do not like it. On the other hand, I'm loving the show. I wonder why I never watched it when it was still on?

Isn't it a fantastic show?! I loved it. The wacky fringe characters are great. The writing is so well done--you've got to pay close attention or you'll miss some witty comment.

I'm currently all caught up and can't wait for the next season to be released.

Enjoy!

Normally I hate Sally Struthers, but her character on this show is great! And Taylor the town's overly enthusiastic grocer, etc. I really want to start buying the seasons, but they're expensive. I may have to keep doing Netflix for a while. *is sad* I love being able to go back and watch things again a few days later, but I can't keep the dvds, because I want to see the next episodes.

Possibly because it really went downhill after the first few seasons! But of course, that's just my take on it, and I can only take so much of any series.

Well, pretty much all shows hit that downward slope at some point, far too often very early on (Lost springs to mind - such a good show in season one and so quickly sucking after that).
