I got an email from Dr. C this morning, telling me he'll be back in his office on Thursday and he'll look into my weird grade then. This is a good thing, as I didn't think I'd even hear from him until then. So my grade is still in limbo, but it will be looked at soon.

Back to work today and guess what? They still haven't decided what to do with me. It's not a problem of not needing me, rather, they need me (or someone) in too many places. So I'm going to be a floater (going room to room, filling any staffing holes needed) for the rest of the summer and they'll figure out where to put me as soon as they have a better grip on teacher staffing (which will probably be the day before the fall program starts).

It was a fun day with my old kids from last spring, and they were all happy to see me. It was also a long day spent out in the sun, which I am no longer used to, and now my head is throbbing. I think my brain is plotting its escape through my eyeballs. Time for some advil.

Let's hope the matter with the weird grade is solved quickly. It must be rather nerve-wracking to wait for the verdict.

The prof should look at it tomorrow or Friday, with any luck.

Nice of the prof to at least email you back so you're not totally on pins and needles waiting. Hope he realizes it was his error and fixes it quickly (to an "A"!)!

Oh, I know that feeling well, my friend. Hope it went bye-bye?!

Well, it won't be an A, because it's a pass/fail class, but it should definitely be a pass!

The headache is luckily a thing of the past. I'm pretty sure it was because I forgot to wear my sunglasses at the playground - sun-squinting is always enough to make my brain deeply unhappy.

Sounds like time to stock up on sunscreen and water! Hope the floating doesn't get annoying and that you enjoy wherever you end up in the fall.

I have sunscreen, and I've been carrying water around with me - it was the sunglasses I forgot on Monday. I think that's what has made the difference the rest of the week. Yes to sunglasses, no to headaches.
