I had the weirdest dream last night! Such a strange conglomeration of characters from books, movies and TV shows.

It starts out a Farscape dream, which I don't know if I've ever had a Farscape dream before, so that's a bit odd in itself. But anyway. John Crichton is at this huge old house, looking for his girlfriend, Aeryn. They've been separated for some time and he's been tracking her down. Then, there's this woman there who is trying to trick Crichton into thinking she's Aeryn, but as she looks very little like Aeryn, that doesn't work.

Then the Trollocs arrive. Yes, I've been rereading 'The Eye of the World' by Robert Jordan, but I don't usually start dreaming about it until I'm midway through book four or five at least, and right now I'm only half way through book one. A little early to be dreaming about Trollocs (esp. as I didn't read it at all this weekend). So, Trollocs are swarming all over the place. They are an escort for some evil dark lord (not necessarily Shai'tan from the books, just a generic evil dark lord). Naturally, I try to hide in a deep, dark closet, but there is a little girl hiding in the most hidden corner of the closet already. I suggest to her that she go to the other corner (I'm not proud of it, but it was a dream, I have no control over what a louse I am in my dreams) so that I could hide in the good corner. Naturally, the trollocs come investigating our closet and find the little girl. They also find me. We are both thrown into baby cribs and told to take a nap.

I lay in the crib and pretended to sleep while keeping an eye on all the action in the main hallway of the house, expecting Crichton and all the rest of us to be killed at any moment. But then, in a totally inexplicable move, the evil dark lord and all his trollocky minions just...leave. Well, this is unexpected, to say the least, but it frees Crichton up to return to his search for Aeryn, and the little girl and I get to escape as well.

I take off and leave the house, going to hide myself in a ravine, where I meet up with Gandalf, Merry and Pippin (hiding in a tree) Now this I can at least sort of understand. I spent the weekend reading various very long hobbit fics. It seems that M. and P. have rather carelessly left their swords in the huge fireplace inside, so I have to go back in to retrieve them. Inside, poor Crichton is still searching for Aeryn.

And that's about where it ends. There was also a bit in there somewhere about a firetruck that crashed into the side of a house, but I can't really remember how it fit into the rest of the dream.

Now I have a headache.

Hope you don't mind if I peek in for a moment. :)

It seems to be the time of strange dreams. I'm pursued by them. It's horrible. I even wake up with strange comments I don't understand on my lips.

The sad thing is, I really enjoy having weird dreams. I talk with people at work and they all dream about their everyday lives and I'm so grateful that I get to have adventures when I'm sleeping, even if those adventures can be a little weird and scary at times.

And feel free to peek in any time. :)

Yes, weird dreams are great. I would love to know their meaning though. I also take a lot of my inspiration from my dreams as I sometimes dream how a story could go on.

Wow, wierd. Your dreams are more better than some TV series : - )

I know. Back when I really wanted to write a book, I always thought 'if I could just capture one of my dreams, it would make a great book,' but I've never been able to get anything terribly coherent out of them.
