I woke this morning to find a review for an old fic awaiting me in my inbox. It made me all happy, so thank you for that, sweetie. It was even almost enough good to offset the kitty puke I then found all over my surge protector. Yuck. I'm not entirely certain how to best clean that up, since it's in all the outlets and everything. What a mess.

I was supposed to volunteer at the History Center today. Keep my hand in, gain more practical experience, that sort of thing. But I just can't make myself go. Saturdays are precious to me, a time to get home stuff done, run errands if I can make myself (buses don't run often enough on Sundays to make errands anything less than an exercise in frustration), and basically just unwinding from a week of kids and insanity. I'm basically a low energy person and if I don't recharge on the weekend, the next week is not pretty (for example, D*C was way, way fun, but work the next week was NOT - headaches and misery abounded).

Now babysitting, today and possibly Monday evening, that is extra work I can get behind. That's the kind of extra work that allows me to go out and have a little fun with the rest of my weekend, and that's what it's all about.

My viewing entertainment for the past week:

Doctor Who -- Robot
Buck Rogers -- Awakening (first episode)
Bones -- (possibly last year's season finale - the one with the myspace stuff)

I am really, really looking forward to the new season getting started already!

it's interesting how old fics delight a person so much to have them review again...lol (i think she was frocrastinating sleep ;) And yeah, it's so unexpected to find a review suddenly out of no where and you're like "wow there's still someone lurking on my site :-0 )

I don't know if I'll ever do much hobbit writing again. Right now I really want to write Supernatural fic, but it's hard going. I don't seem to be getting very far with it.
