fic? What is this fic of which you speak?

Grr! I'm feeling very frustrated. I have written no fic in a very long time. This is not for lack of desire to write fic. I really, really want to write some Supernatural fic, but for some reason, every time I sit down and try to get inside those boys' heads, I get frickin nowhere. I get plot ideas but none of them seem good enough to bother with after the first attempt. I know that what I really need to do is just write something, start to finish, crappy or not, just to get things moving, but the writer's block is phenomenally huge (for the past year or more). *sigh*

So. My goal for today is to write something. Something small, from start to finish. I am now off to find a classic rock station to provide the musical inspiration, and then there will be fic.

I'm in the middle of writing my first fic since July of 2006. And then I went and signed up for a weekend 10K writing challenge so I feel your pain.

Yeah, it's been about that long since I wrote anything, as well. I'm making progress, though. Nothing good, but something's coming together, at least. Good luck to you with your writing. :)

I understand. I haven't written anything in such a long time. I'd like to, but either I'm swamped with school and work or I'm just too tired and strung out to collect my thoughts enough to write something coherent. I keep hoping it'll come back. Good luck with your fic!

I think if I can just get a couple of things written, it might start coming easier, but in the meanwhile, it's definitely work, as opposed to relaxation and fun, to get those first couple of things written.

I'm so glad you have the opportunity to agonize over something you are doing for fun ... after the long slog of agonizing over grad school assignments, etc. !!!

yeah well, life makes sure I have plenty of unpleasant things to agonize over as well, but this was fun, at least.
