Southern night at the FCG

Tonight was Talk Like an Antebellum Southerner Night, at the old FCG gathering. This was complemented by the facial-hair stylings of cmcbryer, sporting freshly grown mutton chops, and jdecay, with his almost-Colonel Sanders mustache and beard.

Trying to perform as a Southern Belle while also bringing the filth was, um, challenging to say the least, and indeed, the filth was nearly missing for most of the evening, until rabbitchild managed to scrounge something up. mamoulian spearheaded a discussion of scary movies, there was some talk of Lost and Supernatural, and we even veered into some book recommendations for me - I've been working off of repeat readings of old books since I moved back to Pittsburgh.

There was a close encounter with eve11, walking by just as we emerged from Phantom of the Attic (and one of these days, I swear I'm going to start buying comics again, rather than just hanging out while everyone else makes their selections - I feel like such a bum). She was unable to join us, lured away by the promise of free food and networking elsewhere, but it was good, as always, to say hi.

All in all, the best way to end a stressful work day (it being the annual Day of Licensing Hell).

Southern Belle Night! Frankly, my dear, I'm afraid to even imagine it. Sounds like you had a fun time, though!

I'm glad to hear that the Day of Licensing Hell is behind you - what did you manage to work out about your Continuing Education credits?
