Farm picspam

auntiemeeshHow could I not love this little guy to small bits and pieces.
The field trip was lots of fun this morning. The kids were freakishly well-behaved the entire time, despite being deprived of morning snack (I think it bothered me more than the kids - both coffee and breakfast deprived this morning). The weather was cloudy and my pics came out a little ashed out, but I did my best.

The trees are still largely green, but there were a few very colorful ones

On to the animals!
There were sheep - cute fluffy sheep. This made me happy, but apparently they scared at least one of the kids. She had no problem with the other animals, but she gravely informed me that she didn't want to see the sheep because they were scary.
Scary sheep:
Chicks
Three Little Pigs (one of them was hiding)
Donkey
Ponies
The goats were in another building and the unreasonably hot farmer guy fed them lettuce and kale while the kids watched.
So, yesterday's predictions involved at least one child peeing and one child possibly running away. Well, I thought we had got away with neither of those, but when one little boy's mom came to pick him up after lunch, she found out that he was all wet. He admitted to having peed himself while picking his pumpkin. However, we did manage to get through with no runaways, so I count it as a win. I expected a number of the kids to fall asleep on the bus ride back, but the only one of them did. The assistant director also managed to fall asleep, which I thought was pretty funny, as she would have had Things To Say if I'd done the same.
