I seem to have made it through the week from hell, mostly in one piece. I've got sketches for my pumpkins, which will be carved sometime tomorrow. I also have to craft a few accessories, but that shouldn't take too long.

Tonight, I have abandoned the kitties to cruel fate and have hied off to eve11's place for the next day or so. I very artfully created coconut leaves to decorate some cupcakes fresh graves, but other than that, my house elf duties have been pretty light so far. I'm sure tomorrow will be a different story altogether.

With some consultation, a costume has been decided upon for tomorrow's party. I decided to forego the Peacekeeper Zombie and go the Tavern Wench route instead. It won't be exactly pretty, but it should work with the bits and pieces I've scavenged from other costumes. Too bad I don't have a nice, round taverny tray to carry around with me.

SGA in 8 minutes and I am actually going to be able to watch it on tv. This is a momentous event!

There's something about watching it on TV when it's actually on the air, isn't there? I love the idea that there are people all over the country watching it at the same time.

I'm so used to watching on the computer or dvd and being able to rewatch the bits that I miss (and I have the attention span of a flea, so I routinely miss a lot), and it was a little frustrating to realize I couldn't do that with the regular tv. I kept going, wait, rewind that bit. D'oh! No rewind on teevee. But it's good to watch it on regular television, at the same time as everyone else, anyway.

It was actually pretty hideous and needed serious work before I could even venture into public. The final result was fine, but not at all what I had originally wanted.

'Twas fun. It didn't turn out as I originally envisioned it, but since I hadn't really had time to try it out before hand, I was just lucky I was able to improvise with what I had, when the first idea turned out really, really, REALLY bad.
