Home again, safe and sound
Nov. 7th, 2007 07:56 pmMal is home, safe and sound if a bit dopey. I was pleased to see that he was awake when I got to the vet's after work. He's been very quiet all evening, despite the instruction sheet that said he may howl or meow a lot after coming out of the anesthetic's influence. Now, after reacquainting himself with the apartment, and confirming that trying to climb up onto the sofa when groggy is a poor plan, he is crashed in front of the heating vent, sound asleep with Tooks.
In honor of his very special day (and because I promised
ani_no_mouse more kitty pics several weeks ago) I thought it was a good time to do a kitten picspam.
With the new arrangement of the living room, the tv provides a very nice stepping stone up to the mantel. This is Mal's new favorite place to be.

Mal can't resist a bit of tail, even if it's his own, and even if he's on a precarious perch with almost no room to move.

The only problem is getting down again. Hm, it's a long way down, how exactly are we going to manage that?

While solitary play is all well and good, it's more fun with two. So Mal faces off with Thor.

After all that fun, a nap is what's needed. Mal is happiest sleeping curled up with a friend. Tookie, preferably. In this case, he and Tookie are both curled up half under my blanket wrapped leg.

And one of Thor sleeping, just to round out the naptime happiness.

It's been a busy week, with some reason to get up extra early every morning. Tomorrow, however, I'll be able to sleep in until nearly eight (which is my usual wake-up time - I am very, very lucky with my current schedule). This makes me almost unreasonably happy.

Date: 2007-11-08 02:19 pm (UTC)I enjoyed my sleep last night and really wanted to stay in bed this morning. That's the danger of having a little bit of a lie-in in the morning. :)
