Dear Idiots,

Please stop giving my phone number out to your debt collectors. Enough is enough already.

No love,
Me

*sigh* A few years ago, a friend of mine gave my phone number to her debt collector. I couldn't believe it.

Wow, that's a pretty low thing for a friend to do.

ew, yeah, I used to think that the phone that never rings was such a sad thing... but the phone that only rings with people nobody should have to talk to? mmm, yeah, this is some level of hell...

Yeah, and that's pretty much what it is - the only time the phone rings it's a debt collector, and not even for me. Some days it doesn't pay to have a phone.

I changed my number trying to eliminate this problem. New number different debt collectors!

At this point, with the current number being the one on my resume, I don't think changing it would be the best way to go, but it is annoying, I must say.
