Today was another of those fun, 'bundle the kids up and throw them out into the cold snowy world' kind of days. Again, it took over a half an hour to get them all ready. Such a lot of work. Luckily this time there were no hysterical children, and only one poor soul who felt sad but refused to outright cry.

Last night there was a bit of a mystery. I lost a stamp book. It only had two stamps left in it, so I didn't worry too much about it, just figured Mal had dragged it off somewhere and I'd find it later. Well, I did find it when I got home this afternoon - in the refrigerator. Yes, apparently it was sitting on top of a carton of leftovers that I threw in the fridge at some point. Way to go, brain.

Okay, I should really go do some work on that blasted portfolio. I brought it home over the weekend and did nothing with it. I have to turn it in for a preliminary look on Wed and I've got nothing typed up yet. *sigh* I hate this thing.

There must be a way to blame Mal. :)

I have found one! Seems Mal has been associating with some pretty shady characters lately. Our investigative team caught one of them in the act.

Yeah, if nothing else, he was totally distracting me by hurling himself at the walls and windows like a mad thing the whole evening. :)

Your brain and mine are clearly related! Last night after I'd finished washing the dishes, I happened to glance up to the top of the refrigerator and saw the block of cheese that I thought I'd returned to the inside of the fridge sitting in the container where I store recycled ziplock bags! Now, the cheese was inside a ziplock bag, so I guess this kind of made sense, but I was really glad to discover it before morning!

Hang in there with the distressing presenting-myself-as-a-confident-and-competitive-job-candidate work on the portfolio. I bet you really will feel more confident when you get it pulled together - and it will be such a relief to have it done!

I'm glad you found the cheese before it had a chance to get too warm.

Although sadly the portfolio won't be much help in the job searching, I really will feel some sense of accomplishment when it is finally all done and I have nothing more to do with it.

It's a little disturbing sometimes, when I find things in the weirdest places.
