T minus 2 days
Dec. 19th, 2007 09:39 pmMm, yummy yummy cookies. Thank you
ani_no_mouse for rescuing me from the cookie drought I was experiencing. *puts out a plate of yummy cookies for all to share*
Only two more days. I can do this - two more days is a cake walk. Right? Right.
I spent most of the morning working on the portfolio, anyway, so I didn't have to deal with the craziness of 22 holiday-drunk kids zinging around the room in a total frenzy for the entire day. By the time lunch and nap were over, there were only four hours left and that, well, that felt like an eternity, but a short one.
I managed to get something typed up for about the first quarter of the portfolio and turned it in for a progress report. Unexpectedly, it has already been marked up and returned. I nearly had a heart attack when C brought it back to the room at the end of the day. I thought for sure I must have really effed something up to be getting it handed back to me, but it seems I'm on the right track. I have notes on things to change but no more than everyone else, so I'm happy. *big sigh of relief*
I'm pretty sure I'm going to win the 'worst co-worker gift buying' award this year. I have been wracking my brains on what I could get for my co-teachers, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and that is something that wouldn't be hated, and pretty much failed. So I resorted to candy. I got an assortment of chocolates and hard candies which will be festively wrapped and handed off, despite the fact that I'm not sure any of my coworkers actually eat chocolate. *fails at life*
On the plus side, I have received an invitation to spend Christmas Eve with one of the families I work with and I think it will be fun. I like both the parents and the child, and it promises to be a manageably small gathering, so I'm looking forward to that.
Also on the plus side, only two more days of work. Did I mention that already? Cuz it's a big plus.

Date: 2007-12-20 04:09 pm (UTC)I'm sure that your co-workers must adore either chocolate or hard candy - and I bet a fair number of them like both! (I can usually do without the hard candy - but if it is bundled festively with chocolate, you won't find me complaining!) I hope you get something equally yummy from each of them!
