The hobbit_ficathon challenge for this weekend is up. The challenge is to write a story in which the hobbits (or some combination of them) are in a pub or inn. It could be in the Shire, Bree, Minas Tirith or anywhere in between.

I was on a bit of a Lost bender last night, and that phrase, 'sandy shore of depression' just caught me. So I decided to share. Next one will be harder, I promise.

How late, you ask? Try 3:45 a.m. *hangs head* And then I was rudely awakened by the Ex ringing my phone at 7:30 saying younger son wanted to come back home because he didn't want to have to help Dad move. So, yeah, I've been going all day. Hard. Moving furniture hard. Cleaning house hard. Making my writing space more comfortable and inspiring. The Three Cousins are looking down at me now from the top shelf of my desk hutch, all with swords drawn, Merry and Pippin in their livery, helmets on. They are ready for action. And I think I have a Yule fic just about ready to pop out of me. We'll see. I may just crash big time in an hour or so, once my adrenaline runs dry. But for now, I'm as ready as SpongeBob. ;-)
