Spring makes me happy

Today feels like Spring. It's warm (already in the mid-fifties) and sunny, all the snow is melting, the air is balmy. It's March, so the rest of the week is supposed to be colder and rainy, temps dipping back down to freezing by the weekend, but I don't care. It's a beautiful day. I left the windows open to air out my apartment while I'm at work - maybe it won't smell so stinky when I get home. *is hopeful*
Excuse me now while I go celebrate the first stirrings of Spring.
ETA: I was just checking to find out when Daylight Saving kicks in this year and found this helpful little website that not only shows the dates, but also gets into the grammar of the whole thing. I loved this particular sentence - Adding to the confusion is that the phrase Daylight Saving Time is inaccurate, since no daylight is actually saved. Daylight Shifting Time would be better, but it is not as politically desirable.
ETA: Oh what an idiot I am. While I was down here in the lounge rhapsodizing about Spring, my class was heading out on a fieldtrip. Yup. That's right - I was supposed to be in a little early today because the bus left at 9:15. And the irony is, I was in the building, just totally forgot that I needed to be in the room early. D'oh! So now I get to spend the morning making revisions to the portfolio instead of taking the kids out to the playground and enjoying the weather, which is what I thought I was going to be doing. *sigh*
Spring still makes me happy, though. Not even this can entirely destroy my warm, sunny mood.
