Pens lost.

Oh well, we were betting the Pens would win in 5 games, so this just gives us the fifth game. Back to home ice on Sunday, and I'm pretty sure the game's going to be aired on NBC so I'll even be able to watch it. Sounds like tonight's game was as scrappy as I was promised the whole series would be (and wasn't, really). I bet Sunday's game will be the same.

I had this secret little fear that next season would be the "Dean in Hell" show, and it looks like that's what it's going to be. How long is it going to take Sam to come up with some Get Dean Out of Hell plan? Thanks to Mystery Spot, we know that Sam gets a little OCD when Dean is dead, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out in this particular scenario. I mean, it's sad for Sam, to see Dean dead after spending a whole year vowing to save him, but it's kind of hard to really worry too much about it, since they're clearly not writing the character off the show, just rearranging his circumstances somewhat. Which, by the way, is so lame. There's really no point in killing a character unless you actually mean to get rid of him. Which would be sad in this case, but possibly better than the alternative.

The question is, is the whole fourth season going to be a long, drawn out 'torture Sam with trying to find a way to save his dead brother' epic plot of fail, or will they allow things to come to some sort of resolution early in the season, thus opening up the possibility of a slightly less 'doom and gloom' thread for the rest of the season. Cuz I gotta say, I didn't love season three. There were episodes I loved, but the overarching thread of trying to save Dean from Hell got old really, really quickly, and I can only assume that the same will happen if they try to draw his sojourn in Hell out for too long, as well. Not to mention, I don't suppose it would be much fun for Jensen Ackles, having a new script each week in which Dean's being gruesomely tortured or suffering, moaning for Sam to come save him. Not a lot of variety, there. Could get a bit boring.

Hm, oh well. After one month of new episodes, we're pretty much back to repeats and summer replacement shows for the next four or so months. Good thing I've got plenty of shows queued up on Netflix. I'm half way through season one of Numb3rs and loving it lots. Almost half way through season two of Grey's Anatomy and loving it lots, as well. Plus, I've got Six Feet Under and Babylon 5 waiting in the wings, as well as some movies I've been waiting to see. I guess that will have to be enough to keep me busy.
