I was looking for a book to read and picked one up off the top of one of my bookshelves (I have a lot of books, but not so many bookshelves). To my very great dismay, I found that the bottom and sides of the book were rotting out with some nasty form of mold or mildew. In the end, I had to throw away five or six books. Nearly all of my books are like old friends, so I hate seeing them die like that. They were all hardback books, but luckily there was only one that really bothers me, Sense and Sensibility, which is the one I was planning to read. None of them were irreplaceable, but it seems like such a waste. I'm also concerned about how the mold/mildew got started and worried that other books might get affected as well. I'm guessing the books must have gotten damp, but I'm not sure where the water came from. Urrggghh!

I'm in a game-playing mood today and I recently bought a Christmas madlibs book, so I was hoping some of you might also be in a game-playing mood. If you comment with a list of the required types of words, I'll give you the story. The list of required word types is behind the cut.

Yay! Someone's playing (this is what happens when I spend 11 days with virtually no adult contact - I go insane and start playing madlibs, lol). Your answers are the underlined words.

Your story:

During the holidays, more Bill-the-Ponies go back home to visit their socks than at any other time. Between Christmas and New Year's Day, the airlines pack the remote controls in like sardines in a crystal vase. There are a lot of frilly "no frill" airlines that will take you from the kitchen to Philadelphia for only 47 dollars. These airlines do not give you any tires. And you can only take 320 pieces of luggage. They also have smaller coffee tables, and you often have to sit on someone else's eyebrow. It is very wiggly to travel during the holidays, but it is worth it to make your bottles happy. Don't forget to make your books early.

Here's your story, m'dear.

During the holidays, more Tooks go back home to visit their ales than at any other time. Between Christmas and First Yule, the airlines pack the tree limbs in like sardines in a mug. There are a lot of stubborn "no frill" airlines that will take you from The Green Dragon to Minas Tirith for only 16 dollars. These airlines do not give you any swords. And you can only take 1420 pieces of luggage. They also have smaller beds, and you often have to sit on someone else's nose. It is very fierce to travel during the holidays, but it is worth it to make your ponies happy. Don't forget to make your boats early.

Thanks for playing. :)

Plug all the bits into the bobs and this is what you get:

During the holidays, more trees go back home to visit their cousins than at any other time. Between Christmas and Highday, the airlines pack the hobbits in like sardines in a bucket. There are a lot of green "no frill" airlines that will take you from Bag End to Bywater for only four dollars. These airlines do not give you any friends. And you can only take twelve pieces of luggage. They also have smaller chairs, and you often have to sit on someone else's feet. It is very rusty to travel during the holidays, but it is worth it to make your cousins happy. Don't forget to make your trees early.

I wonder how many layovers there are between Bag End and Bywater? I hope you like your story. :)

Looks like fun to me...

Aren't madlibs fun? Right, here's your story:

During the holidays, more goats go back home to visit their boats than at any other time. Between Christmas and Valentine's Day, the airlines pack the moats in like sardines in a cardboard box. There are a lot of reckless "no frill" airlines that will take you from the coffe shop to the bowling alley for only 3 dollars. These airlines do not give you any totes. And you can only take 5 pieces of luggage. They also have smaller stools, and you often have to sit on someone else's toe. It is very blue to travel during the holidays, but it is worth it to make your coats happy. Don't forget to make your notes early.

Thanks for playing! :)

LOL I love my little story! I like that my goats went to see their boats and it is a bit blue traveling during the holidays. I enjoyed the game very much. We must play again sometime.

Nothing to do with the game, just a quick note to let you know how much I have enjoyed the first eight episodes of Farscape. Helps a great deal to get the first of things and the quaility is just great. Your friend did a wonderful job. Thank you again!

I got started on Farscape on Season Three, and the episodes that I saw were really out of order and strange beyond belief. I loved the show almost immediately, but I was so confused. Luckily for me, Scifi chose that time to start running all the episodes from the beginning, while the show was on a mid season break, so I was able to get caught up very quickly. Those first eight episodes are pretty much all fluff and popcorn, but they are so much fun to watch, as well as giving that crucial info about who these people are and how they all came together.

I know! Sometimes, I enjoy the fluff a great deal. That was the case here. John is such an innocent at the beginning and I do love all of the background that you get in these. I really can't thank you enough. Now, I can continue on with the rest knowing the whole story. My friend who hooked me on this to begin with is going to watch the tapes this weekend. She has even seen the mini series and is so annoyed at my slow viewing habbits. LOL She is really looking forward to seeing these also.

I hadn't done madlibs probably since grade school, but they had them at Barnes & Noble and I just couldn't resist. I'm glad people are willing to play along. :)

Here's your story:

During the holidays, more pheasants go back home to visit their marigolds than at any other time. Between Christmas and your birthday, the airlines pack the lotions in like sardines in a jar. There are a lot of bloody "no frill" airlines that will take you from the kitchen to Tanzania for only fourteen dollars. These airlines do not give you any gorillas. And you can only take six pieces of luggage. They also have smaller chaise longues, and you often have to sit on someone else's belly button. It is very pointy to travel during the holidays, but it is worth it to make your hobbits happy. Don't forget to make your Dwarves early.
