Okay, so a guy calls me last weekend to see if I can babysit Oct 5 (tomorrow), but doesn't have details like the time. Gonna call me back later or the next day.

Still haven't heard from him. Sent an email off a little while ago, haven't heard back (don't have the phone #).

Kinda irritated, now.

Well, the wife emailed me back this morning to say that yes, they still wanted me to babysit, but she didn't know when and her husband would call at some point with details (it's after noon and he still hasn't called). So, in other words, just sit tight and do nothing until we decide to let you know what our more important schedule is. This may be the last time I babysit for them.

yes. If they want you to set aside your entire day to be ready to babysit for them at a moment's notice, they should pay you for the entire day. And a bit extra for the aggravation!
