auntiemeeshDude, I have officially had enough of Babylon 5. The psycorps episode pushed me over the edge. The methods of filming, the quality of the directing, the studied stiffness of the actors, the uninspired writing (this is not to say the ideas are all bad, just the way they're written), the extremely cliche situations and reactions of everyone involved all conspire to make me want to hurl things at my tv. So, in consideration of my budget, which doesn't really have room for tv replacement at the moment, I'm sending the B5 dvds back to Netflix and moving on to something else.
Thank goodness there's such a variety in our tv shows. I know half of you probably hate the shows that I love the most, and you would probably give the exact same reasons I gave for giving up on B5. Speaking of, I do believe I'm going to watch some Farscape, to clear the palate, so to speak. Last night I watched Nerve and Hidden Memory, so tonight it's Bone to be Wild and Family Ties. Whatever else you might say about Farscape, you certainly can't accuse most of the acting of stiffness. *grins*
eta: Or, you know, maybe I'll just go to bed, since I have to be up extra early tomorrow. Early dismissal for the holiday, but my team leader scheduled me early so I'd get a full day of archives. It's a nice thought, but I'd rather have the short day.
