I remembered to fill out a Request for Time Off form today, so that I can have off work on Dec 22-23 (the center is closed from the 24th through Jan 4th or something). Of course, those would be blackout days, when we're not allowed to take off. I'm sure someone will be along to talk with me about that at some point. Yay.

I'm hoping it's just a matter of being scolded for taking those days off rather than being told I can't have them, since my flight is already booked. :(

Sadly, I think I'm past the age where a note from any sort of mother types would have any influence with anyone. It will work out, but they'll give me grief about it first. And it will make it harder to ask off to go to Dragon*con next fall if I'm still at CHCC then.
