I finally heard back from the vet about Tookie's test results. Her methimazole dose remains the same, so that's good. Unfortunately, he said her kidney function is borderline, so he prescribed something for that. But I'm a little confused. He prescribed Cosequin, which is for joints. I need to call the office and get an explanation of that before I order the meds. Because that just doesn't make sense to me.

Meanwhile, Tookie and I compromised about when I should get up this morning. I wanted to sleep in until ten or so (I'm of the opinion that mornings should be avoided whenever possible) and she wanted me up at seven-thirty. We split the difference at quarter to nine.

I had lots I wanted to get done today, some of which I've even accomplished. First up was shopping. I got antbee362's gift, holiday cards and stamps, ornaments for the ornament exchange at work, a lullaby cd for work, and a James Taylor Christmas cd for me. Add in some cat food and trash bags and it was back home again.

I wanted to get the apartment all cleaned up so I could do some decorating tomorrow, and that hasn't really happened. I did a little tidying, ripped the cds I bought onto my laptop, wrote out the cards for my immediate family, and watched SGA. In a little while I have to head out for some babysitting, so I guess cleaning and decorating both will have to wait till tomorrow.

The Cosequin costs 20 bucks a box, but I don't know how many doses that is. Can't talk to the vet about it until tomorrow. :(

The cleaning and decorating seem not to be happening so much. I was hit with a cold last night and all I really want to do today is sleep. I should make a real effort to get cards done so they can go in the mail, and I have no clean laundry, but I also have no energy for running back and forth between my apartment and my landlady's basement laundry room.

The cd is called James Taylor at Christmas. I've seen it at both Starbucks and Barnes & Noble (not the best places when it comes to selection - my B&N doesn't have a music/dvd section, so it's just a single rack by the registers, lol).
