Improving my mood, one lj post at a time

Mm, there's nothing quite like Christmas (and Thanksgiving) leftovers. I've been eating turkey and fixings for the past several days and I'm not even close to tired of it, yet.
lyda_pearl bought the traditional Plum Pudding, but we never got around to making it. The slightly less traditional Pumpkin Pie was too yummy, and between that and all the cookies
whtmtnwmn supplied us with, I think I've gained a good five pounds in the last week. Oh well, I have another week before work, in which I can fast and hopefully lose a few of said pounds.
The sewing project was a bit of a bust. Not enough time or know-how to get it done before heading home. If only I had another couple of weeks. *sigh* Oh well, everything is mostly pieced together for the first one and LP is going to run it through the sewing machine. Then she'll have the joyous task of attempting to figure out what modifications I made to the pattern pieces in order to make the thing fit together, before she can tackle all the rest (eight in total - four muslin inner pieces and four colorful outer pieces, to make four slip covers).
The weather has been really up and down here. Yesterday morning it was below zero and tomorrow it's supposed to hit sixty. And then freeze overnight again. So we're all heading for Manchester tomorrow afternoon. We'll find something fun to do in town tomorrow night and then
ani_no_mouse and I both have morning flights on Monday.
