It would probably help if I'd seen the movies

The first few episodes of The Sarah Connor Chronicles (season one) didn't really pull me in very well, but I just watched the second disc and either I'm in a different mood or the show started to ramp up in these episodes or something, because I found myself much more invested in what was happening. I suppose now I'll have to bump up disc three so it comes a little quicker than this one did.

I'm really surprised that you didn't see the movies - I had credited you with encouraging me to see them. At least 1 and 2. I admit I didn't watch 3.

Well, I'm pretty sure it wasn't me. I did see the second movie, once, a long time ago, but I was missing all the background and it didn't make a lot of sense and not much of it stuck with me.

Wait a minute! A sci-fi/comic person like you and you didn't see The Terminator movies? I am stunned. I have seen the films but not the series so I guess between us, we have this covered.

Well, I did see the second movie, many years ago, but having never seen the first, and having paid only minimal attention to the second (the Terminator movies came out while I was more interested in fantasy than sci-fi and I'm still working on a pretty sizable backlog of things I never saw because of that), I had to resort to imdb to fill in the missing info, like who Kyle Reece was, stuff like that.

I doubt I will be seeing the fourth Terminator. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the third one which I wasn't expecting to like at all but I don't think I'm up to a fourth one.

That would be her. The series is officiall called Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, but that's a little more of a mouthful than anyone I know is willing to be bothered with.
