Attempted to set up a wireless network. Guess how well that went. I will probably be able to get it set up eventually, but not until I have a nice little block of time that I'm willing to devote to fiddling around with downloading and installing drivers for one router, testing it to see if it works, and then most likely (knowing my luck with such choices) rinsing and repeating with a second router (I was given two by a very generous friend, one of which apparently works and one of which doesn't, no clue which). This evening's attempt involved several tech support phone calls and temporarily losing all internet access. Fun times.

It will be worth it, though, once I'm wireless. *grins*

It truly is worth it. But I had to get a geek friend help me set mine up.

The friend who gave me the router will come over to help out if I can't figure it out on my own, but it's a bit of a drive for him so I don't want to ask unless I absolutely fail to figure it out.

I think you will be able to get it b/c I did, with the help of a tech support phone call. And it is great to have it. I am not tied to my little office anymore.

I? am a neo-luddite. Wire-me baby! Basically my apartment is so small that 25' of cat 5 will go anywhere you can sit anyway. And when I pull the wire? Ain't nobody gettin on my system...
