What I should be doing this evening:

1. Working on parent/teacher conferences so that I can get them all done in a timely fashion.
2. Searching for a primary care physician in my neighborhood, on my network, who is accepting new patients.

What I am doing this evening:

1. Surfing the internet reading all the amusing panic about Swine Flu and the upcoming Apocalypse.
2. Talking on the phone to [livejournal.com profile] griffins_mom for the better part of an hour.
3. Getting all caught up on Failblog, lolcats, loldogs, and pundit kitchen.
4. Reading flist and pondering fandom in all is awesome wankery.

Oh yeah, it's been a productive evening.

On the plus side, hey, it's day 7 of 14. No sweets or desserts today. Yay! And I have discovered a new yummy tea. Good Earth's Lemongrass Green Tea is very tasty and possibly smells even better than it tastes.

congrats on day 7! And hey, you've reminded me I need to check out lolcats.

I've completely failed at trying to find my old passport :( I'm giving up soon and watching hockey until I fall asleep.

We on for the gym tomorrow?

Bummer about the passport. I'm not sure I could find mine, either. I used to know exactly where it was, but after so many moves in the last few years, it's become lost in the old mental dust.

Definitely on for the gym tomorrow. Judging by how achy I am tonight, though, running is probably going to suck a lot tomorrow. :(

yeah, I'm not looking forward to having to do the full-on passport renewal. I really want to find my old one :(

Cool on the gym; I'll pick you up at the usual ridiculously early hour :)

The full-on renewal for a passport wasn't hard...just don't say your passport is lost...that entails more security procedures. For what it's worth, the guy who processed mine said I should just say, misplaced during moving, in a box somewhere in the attic or something.

Thanks for the heads up; I'll keep that in mind :) I'll just tell them that I wasn't sure I'd be able to find it in time to complete the mail registration before I had to leave the country.

Good going on the sweet fast. And, how is Griffin's Mom?

[livejournal.com profile] griffins_mom is hanging in there. I think she's been overdoing it a bit lately, so now she's just a little slumpy, but mostly alright.
