I went to a late showing of Star Trek tonight. I liked it for the most part, although the sound bugged me a lot. There was so much noise, so many sound effects and such loud music and the dialog was oddly muted, so I missed a lot of it. I may have to go back and see it again, partly for the dialog, partly just because there was so much crammed in and I know I missed bits. But all in all, yay for a good summer (almost) blockbuster!

No hockey this weekend. No babysitting, either. Two whole days of doing nothing much of anything. Sounds glorious. Also unlikely since I have to drag myself to the grocery store, do laundry, clean the disaster that is otherwise known as my apartment, reorganize my life, and get started on a laundry list of things I need to do before transitioning to the new room at work. I shall pretend I have nothing to do, however, and chances are, I won't get much of it done, anyway.

No Penguins hockey this weekend, but the Redwings/Blackhawks game is on NBC tomorrow at 3pm. Oh, also, my co-worker J from DC will be up this week so I'm thinking (unless he's got a ticket *for* the game) he's going to want to find a place to watch it Monday night :)

I'm frustrated that there aren't any games in this series on NBC. I'd love to get together on Monday to watch the game if that's the way things fall out. :)

Well, I did finally manage to do one of the things on my list - I had to send an email copy of a parent/teacher conference write up to a parent. Other than that, I've been gloriously lazy all day. :)
