My body is tag teaming me.
First off, I'm on the verge of getting my period, so I've got cramps growing in strength and unpleasantness. I've taken Advil for this but it will be a little while before it kicks in, and depending how bad it gets it won't get me all the way pain free, just less pain.
Second off, mystery pain. Lower right side of my belly, could be anything or nothing. It's popped up before, usually not quite this bad. It hurts. Curling up part way makes it feel a little better, curling up too tight makes it hurt more, stretching out makes it hurt more. Putting pressure on it makes it hurt more. It may just be gas or something, so I've taken something for that. A couple of times when it happened, I thought maybe I was ovulating, but it's definitely not the right time for that. I don't know. My only consolation is that it's happened before and it always goes away on it's own after a while.
Between the two, I'm one sorry, pathetic little person right about now. I just want to curl up in bed with the blankets pulled up to my chin. Instead I will go to work and try to prevent any of the one-year-olds from sitting on my lap or wanting to be held. How do you think that's going to go?
