Tonight is one of those nights where I'm not sure I'm cut out to be a sports fan. I lack fortitude or something.

Anyway. I think tonight I'll just chronicle Mike Lange's goal scoring flights of the tongue.

Early in the first period (4:48 in) Max Talbot scored to get the Pens on the board first. "Get in the fast lane grandma, the bingo game is ready to roll!"

Two minutes later Zetterberg tied things up.

A few minutes after that, Franzen scored to put the Redwings up 2-1 on a power play.

15:57 Letang got a power play goal for the Pens. "Get that dog off my lawn, it's Kris LeTang with a power play goal!"

The Pens got outshot 11 to 7 first period, but we held on and ended the period tied. If nothing else, we won't end this game with the same score for a third game running.

Did Lange or Borque catch the Pens with too many men for those 20 seconds or so?
