It's an early morning for me, I had to be at work a good two hours earlier than usual. It was a really nice walk, though. Cool and calm, with lots of atmospheric fog, plenty of red leaves, and a nice, early morning hush (if one ignores the heavy traffic and speeding school buses).

It's a black and gold day at work. I guess the Steelers have a game this weekend. I wore my Malkin t-shirt, since it's the only black and gold I have and the Pens do have a game tonight, so it's legit. At the moment, however, I'm all snuggled up in an oversized fleecy pull-over, nursing my coffee and hoping this sore throat/stuffy nose/impending headache thing doesn't get any worse.

I'm avoiding all the SPN reactions. At some point, I'll summon up enough interest to watch the first few episodes, but I've been burned by the show too many times in the last season, and I find it difficult to watch, now. I have to build up the courage to face a new season of their particular blend of uber angst combined with blatant silliness.

Okay, I just have to keep reminding myself that the correlation to being at work two hours early is that I get to leave at four instead of six. Sadly, I always find it difficult to leave while there are still kids here, stemming I'm sure from my many years of closing the place, so these early days are just as tough leaving as they are coming.

Don't ignore that sore throat/stuffy nose/impending headache thing. Not with H1N1 hanging around!

I'll keep an eye on it, but I get frequent sore throat/stuffy nose combos, and they usually don't amount to anything more than a day or two of discomfort. Probably a combination of allergies and the kids.

I always feel at odd ends when I got home from work so early. Like I have to wait until my normal home time to start doing any of the various lazy things I normally do in the evenings, lol.

Meh, I had to stay a little late. I didn't end up leaving school grounds until 4:30, but that's okay, I knew it was going to go that way.
