making progress

There was a certain amount of success last night. Mal took back his bedroom privileges and slept on the bed for the first time since Zoe arrived. He also finally got up the courage to ask for his morning snuggles again. There is still a lot of low growling and some flying fur when they meet up unexpectedly, and Mal is still skulking around a bit, but they are definitely on the way.

As for Zoe, she continues to be a beautiful little girl. She's settling in and getting more comfortable, herself, asking for snuggles and wanting to be petted. It's a much bigger adjustment than it seems like it should be, bringing a new pet into the fold, but I think we're all doing pretty well with it now. This weekend, I need to take lots of pics of Zoe, and the two of them together, and try to make some new icons.

I, too, have always found that adding a new pet requires a large adjustment from all family members (human and otherwise). I'm glad that your two furry ones are getting used to each other.

Me too. Although it's theoretically easier to sleep in an empty bed, I miss Mal when he's not there.

Me too! He looked a lot happier yesterday afternoon and evening than he had all week. Poor kid needed a catfriend, but hasn't necessarily appreciated me going out and getting him one, lol.

I am glad that it is going well and sleeping habits are returning to normal. I too sleep better sans cat but miss it when she isn't there. I am looking forward to seeing lots of pics
