But vampire cats?

Zoe is hungry, despite the fact that I just fed her less than an hour ago. And when she's hungry, she usually tells me by wrapping her jaws around some part of me and just slightly clamping down. Not hard enough to break skin or hurt, just enough to let me know she wants something. Tonight, however, she clamped down on my neck and there's a nice little welt to show for it. Not okay, Zoe. Not okay.

Defintely not behavior to be tolerated. Squirt bottle in hand? Certainly not rewarded with food, I hope.

Definitely NOT rewarded with food. I don't own a squirt bottle (I'm usually around my electronics when the kids are being naughty, anyway) but she was quickly removed from my presence with some loud words.

for this I recommend the nose flick... middle finger and thumb curled up and snapped right on the nose. when I was a punk I wasn't as allergic to cats and my mom had them. particularly a tonkanise male named Gimli. [why yes, I named him, why do you ask? ;)] He liked to bite for a while. I made sure to let him know who was the alpha male, and the nose flick, alng with carrying him around by the scruff of the neck, worked wonders. whne he saw me curl the fingers he'd take off...

hehe, yeah, I've carried Zoe by the scruff of the neck a few times. She gets very well-behaved for a short time. I'll try the nose flicking. I'd also been told forehead flicking works. I haven't tried it with Zoe, but Mal is completely unconcerned by it. Hopefully Zoe's nose is more sensitive than Mal's forehead. :)

Luckily, there's no mark today, so I don't look like a vampire victim, at least, lol.

ooh! THat sounds painful. Much worse than Katya's neck and arm nursing game.

I did think of Katya when Zoe did it, but in the long run I'm thinking Katya's hickies are probably more painful.

Hurt my human? Never! I only do it because I looooove her! (Okay, my claws do get a little sharp now and then, but is it my fault if she doesn't trim them often enough?)

Not cool! Hope she settles down soon. When are you taking her back to the vet?

Good luck!
=D
