Mornings

I feel cheated. I went to bed last night, after midnight, totally forgetting about the time change. When I woke up this morning for the second time (the first time was at six, when Mal was hungry and would not be denied) it was nine-thirty. Late enough to feel well-rested but not so late that I felt like I'd slept the day away. And then I turned on my computer and was confused about how I could have lost a whole hour between my bedroom and the living room. Ah, Daylight Savings. Whether you're coming or going, you're still about as welcome as a kick in the teeth.

On the other hand, I managed to trim at least a few claws on both Mal and Zoe without suffering any injuries, so I'm feeling most accomplished this morning. Mal was gravely offended and tried to nip my feet afterwards, but I'm far too wily for that sort of nonsense. And a minute later, he brought me a toy as a peace offering. Zoe is equally offended, but is restoring her sense of personal dignity with a long, thorough bath. Ah, kitties, I do love you so, even when you do wake me up at six in the morning for breakfast.

It's some sort of time warp! Set up by the kitties so they'll get fed even more often, no doubt.

That may, indeed, be it. Thumbs or no thumbs, I wouldn't put it past them.

COngrats on getting those claws trimmed. Greta and Katya are both well overdue for the same procedure ... and I have the marks to show it! Last evening I got so far as to find the clippers, but have not engaged in the actual battle yet. I've been focusing on trimming mats out of the dogs' fur, which is a whole other major undertaking.

Good luck on your battle with the claws!

Isn't it funny how the feliine among us react to stressors. Some cleaning always seems in order. I seldom react that way to stress. LOL

We do the daylight savings thing in two weeks (I just had to check, lol) and that always confuses me as well.

I hope you had a lovely Sunday all the same though.

*hugs*

Yes, it feels like a time warp into another dimension...a sleepy one.
=D
