I was at a seminar on veganism, with my dad. I'm not entirely sure why we thought this was a good idea, but we had some friends who were going and decided to go along. The speaker had just started his presentation - he skipped all the usual time-filling nonsense usually tacked on at the beginning of these things which I really appreciated - when there was a crash and a loud shattering sound.

I jolted up from bed to see that it was far too early to be up on a Saturday, realized the bizarre seminar was just a dream and dragged myself out of bed, looking for broken glass. Zoe was skulking around in the kitchen, looking as innocent as could be. Nothing broken there, so I staggered to the living room in a groggy daze, wondering what on earth I had out that was breakable.

After several minutes, several trips back and forth between living room and kitchen with nary a single piece of broken glass anywhere, I finally spotted my chimes lying on the carpet, all tangled together.

Relief! No broken glass to clean up. Sadly, sleep was not to be reclaimed. Something tells me it's going to be a long day.

LOL! I read this sentence, then glanced at the icon to make sure it was your post, then glanced at the title to see whether it included the word dream! Ha! I hope that you manage to reclaim a bit of sleep some time today or at least find something to make it a better day!

I think I'm going to have to accept that my default setting has been changed. At least until my shoulder feels significantly better than it does now, I just won't be sleeping in anymore. :(

I had a similar reaction--LOL. I am glad it was a dream and there was not actual broken glass.

I, too, looked back and forth from the first sentence to the userpic/lj name, and was baffled. LoL Good lesson to not judge a post by it's first few words!

I woke up yesterday , at 4:30 am, because I heard the doorbell.
I laid there waiting to see if it would ring again. Then it occurred
to me that the dogs hadn't barked. I had dreamed it.
It took me an hour and a half to get back to sleep!

It's amazing, the tricks our brains can play on us.
