I'll leave the deep thoughtiness of the episode to those who are better suited for deep thought, and just say I loved this episode. I was intrigued by Vincent's sensitivity to unseen things, including Rory's death. And the idea that even though Amy doesn't remember him, some part of her is still grieving.

No crack in this episode, was there? I didn't notice one, at any rate. I wonder if there is a reason for that.

It was difficult and heartbreaking to see Amy's reaction to Van Gogh's death, to watch her struggle with the idea that they weren't able to change the course of his life and death, that even though he seemed quite joyous in their final meeting, that darkness in his soul was still lurking, waiting for a vulnerable moment to take over. But at the same time, I think part of her grief for Van Gogh was transference. The grief that she cannot experience for Rory has to come out somehow. Or maybe that's just me retconning, I don't know.

Anyway, good episode.

Heh, were the crows in the beginning rather crack-shaped? ;) Probably not enough to really be a clue. *removes tinfoil hat*

You're much better at looking for clues than I am. Maybe next season I'll get out my Sherlock Holmes hat and magnifying glass and join in the hunt. It seems like fun. :)
