I have a pounding headache and should probably take some advil. Maybe I'll try the water, peanut butter, sugary treat combo instead, since I really don't want to take any more advil than absolutely necessary for the next lifetime, after the past few months.

I was expecting to find my new sewing machine waiting for me on the porch when I got home and was disappointed when it wasn't there. Went online and tracked it, only to learn it had been delivered at 10:30 this morning. Checked with the landlady to see if she'd taken it off the porch - nope. Called FedEx and started them looking for it. And then, about ten minutes ago, a neighbor from one street over showed up carrying it. The FedEx guy left it on her porch (same house number, totally different street name). I possibly reacted in much the same way that someone would when having a lost child returned to them. Yeah, I have no coolness quotient whatsoever. But I don't care, I have my new toy!

The stuff coming from Jo-Ann's had to be shipped from Michigan but it arrived in Leetsdale today, which is just outside Pittsburgh. So I'm feeling like it should be here by the weekend, if not sooner. I do so love being able to track deliveries. Sadly, the ebay parasol (shipping from Hong Kong, I believe) does not have a tracking number. No idea when that will arrive.

I wondered from the FB post if it had gotten to your house and how. FedEx definitly needs to be reprimanded for this one. I am glad it arrived safe and sound. I don't have much of a coolness quote either especially when large sums of money are involved.

I'm willing to let it go as long as the next package arrives at my actual address. If not, then I'll be sure to let Fed Ex know exactly how I'm feeling.

Fed Ex should be ashamed of themselves! I hope you complained?!

Hope you enjoy your new toy!
=D

I didn't complain, per se. But I did call them when the package was missing, and again to let them know it had been found. If it happens again, though, then I'll really let them have a piece of my mind.

At least the sewing machine wasn't broken, like the table we recently got from UPS (fortunately, it was fixable, and insured). Have fun with your new sewing machine!

I am so glad that I will not have to start looking for a photo of your sewing machine on milk boxes, inserts that come in the mail, "have you seen me?" posters at Wal-Mart etc. Enjoy playing with your new toy!
