Thanks to the evil influence of [livejournal.com profile] pipspebble, I've spent the evening watching the Liars, Guns and Money Farscape trilogy. Pips is scratching her head right now, wondering how she's responsible for this, but it really is all her fault.

She told me about a great D'Argo video, by LT Garrix, which can be found here. While checking out other videos there, I saw that LT Garrix had also done a vid to Molly Hatchet's 'Flirtin' with Disaster,' which is about the Liars, Guns and Money trilogy. Also a great video, by the way. :)

So now I'm left with that image of Crichton trying to stand that single chess piece up on the board, and begging D'Argo to kill him. I love that trilogy. Absolutely love it. Yes, it has its flaws; to believe that after all their travels in the past two cycles, they are still within a two day flight of the Vorcarians, Tavloids (Tavleks!), Sheyangs and Zenetans calls for a huge leap of faith/suspension of disbelief, but I can forgive them that. It has so many cool things. Metal-eating bugs that look like money, angsty Crichton, explosions, kick-ass Aeryn, torture, last minute rescues, explosions, D'Argo acting like an ass, Braca in a skintight uniform, Aeryn kicking ass, I could go on. God, I love Farscape! Now I want to watch Die Me Dichotomy and the Peacekeeper Wars.

Oooh, I love Angsty Crichton and Kick Ass Aeryn! God, that trilogy just about ate me up. Crichton begging them to kill him! *clutches heart* Oh, I sooooo hated Harvey at that point, but the whole inner convos he had were a brilliant touch I thought only the folks at Farscape could pull off. Dammit, now *I'm* going to have to go dig out my old videotape of these eps and watch them myself. You stinker you. ;-)

All because I sent you a tip. Now I'll have to go watch that one, too. :-)

I started Farscape in season three, so Harvey was already an established act before I saw where he came from. I loved him from the beginning. Creepy but oh, so fun!

Resistance is futile, Pips. Go watch Farscape!

:D

You know, I think the lads are old enough to watch more eps now, we may just have to dig them out tonight. They've only seen a few, mainly the pilot. My eldest's favorite FS quote is still: "You fart HELIUM????" Says it to his brother all the flippin' time. Thanks JC. ;-)

I never thought about the two day travel to get everyone thing, darn you and your plot black-hole uncovering abilities *crosses arms and looks other way*

plot black-hole

*grin* I like that term.

All sci/fi shows come complete with those black holes. Stargate is so full of them I'm surprised the entire show hasn't disappeared, but I still enjoy watching (most of the time).

Go Farscape!

It's the black holes that make it all the more fun though :-)
