Positives:

*Fresh snow is pretty (good thing, too, since we're supposed to be getting another 2-3 inches overnight, on top of the couple inches that fell today).

*All the kids got picked up by closing time, despite bad weather and poor traffic conditions.

*I have two babysitting gigs lined up for the next few weeks, so a little extra money will be coming in.

*Lots of toddler hugs today. Hugs are good.

*Got a ride home from a co-worker so I didn't have to trudge through the pretty new-fallen snow.


It seems like a perfect night for curling up in bed with a good book. If only I had a good book to curl up with. *sigh* I'm in one of those moods, currently, where nothing is exactly striking my fancy.

I hope you found a good book. I just picked up The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo at the grocery store checkout this evening. The last time I picked up a book at the grocery store (Twilight), I disappeared into its world for 6 months! I really can't afford to let that happen again, but I hope it is as good a read as its success and overwhelming number of thumbs-ups received would seem to indicate.

Fresh snow is pretty. We got a bunch overnight, and I'm enjoying looking out my windows - especially since almost no one is out yet, and it's all still pristine white. Lovely.

It has been a snowy winter. Hopefully we won't get anything like the huge storm last February, however.

BTW even we had freshly fallen snow yesterday evening and this morning. Snow is becoming so common in Mississippi that I'm forgetting to treat it as a novelty!

I did end up getting a ride home yesterday, which was much appreciated. And I pretty much always get a ton of toddler hugs each day. One of the many non-financial benefits of the job.
