It should be an interesting game tonight. Crosby went out with a concussion early in January and it took a few games before the Pens got over it and started winning again. Then Malkin went down with a combo of a bum knee and a sinus infection. Again, it took a game for the Pens to find their balance without either of their top guys. And now, with those two still out, Mark Letestu injured himself during practice this morning (caught a rut, needed help off the ice, was seen on crutches, sent back to Pgh for evaluation). Thank goodness Staal is back, because our depth at center looks like this: Jeffrey, Staal, Talbot and Adams. Yikes!

I hope the Pens prevail against all hardships!

Amazingly enough, they did - and there were plenty of hardships to prevail against, as the game went on. But the important thing is, the Pens won!

They'll probably lose to the Islanders tomorrow, but frankly I'd rather have them win against the Rangers, who were starting to creep up in points, than the Islanders, who offer no threat. Of course, I'd really rather they win both games, to be completely honest.

It was more a test of the their grit and determination. I'll love them no matter what - I honestly wouldn't have held a loss against them tonight, especially since they lost more players during the game. It was kind of brutal actually, but somehow they pulled out the win anyway.
