Marc-Andre Fleury (standing awkwardly in front of a wall of his new cereal, Fleury Flakes): Hopefully you'll enjoy the cereals and not laugh too much at my face.

It's been an interesting week for Penguins fans. Injury news has been more bad than good. The good news is that Malkin is supposed to be back in tonight after missing a couple weeks with a bum knee and a sinus infection. I'm expecting a breakout game tonight, maybe another on Sunday, and then he'll slide back into mediocrity again. Prove me wrong on that last bit, Geno!

The bad news is that Mark Letestu, who's having a great rookie season, needs surgery on his knee and will be out four to six weeks. Hopefully we'll have him back and fully functional by the playoffs. Asham is once again day-to-day with an undisclosed upper body injury and I don't expect him to play tonight. As often as he's been a healthy scratch this season, I'm not too worried about him being out.

Despite the ever-mounting number of injured forwards, the Pens have managed to find a way to score goals. I absolutely expected them to lose on Tuesday against the Rangers and they started the game by giving up two goals. But they dug down, came back with three goals of their own, and then refused to back down when the Rangers tied things up at the end of the second. They took the game all the way to seven rounds of a shoot out before AHL call-up Dustin Jeffrey managed to get one past Lundqvist.

Wednesday, the Pens played the Islanders. Despite the fact that the Islanders suck this season, this is never a guaranteed win for our boys in the black and vegas gold. But for the second straight contest between them, the Pens won with a shut-out. I saw somewhere that this was the first time in team history that they got back to back home shut-outs. This week's game also saw Craig Adams score a hole-in-one. Unfortunately, they weren't playing golf so it didn't show up on the score sheet. Max Talbot got an empty net goal, his first goal in 25 games. He's been playing some really good hockey for a few weeks now without anything to show for it, so hopefully this breaks the ice and he can get a few more goals. And to top the evening off, goalie Brent Johnson got into a goalie fight with Rick DiPietro. This was the first NHL goalie fight in three or four years, so it received an insane amount of attention. It was also funny as all get out. Johnson, a rightie, gave DiPi one solid punch with his left hand and DiPi went down. Fight over after one punch.

Pens are playing the Bruins Sabres tonight, at home, and then head down to DC to play the Capitals on Sunday. Here's to hoping they continue the week of improbably good things.

I hope your boys manage to continue their streak of improbable wins. Hey this is the week when Lake Shore Drive turned into a parking lot - improbable things seem to be in the air.

I saw some pictures of Lake Shore Drive. Kind of crazy.

Good luck to the Pens, and to Mark-Andre Fleury's career as a spokesperson!

He'd certainly be a lot more entertaining then a lot of them.

You're right. I always have a weird crossed wires thing with Buffalo and Bruins.
