Brrr!

I am cold. I can hear the furnace working and there's even heat coming out of the registers, but the apartment still feels cold. The only reason I'm not miserable at the moment is that I'm wearing a sweater, a fleecy pullover, a wooly hat, scarf and arm warmers, and I'm wrapped up in my afghan. I'm wondering if the heat got turned off when it was so warm over the weekend, because the apartment felt absolutely frigid when I woke up this morning. I was just about to call the landlady when the first faint tendrils of warmth started moving through the apartment. Maybe in an hour or two, I won't feel like I need to huddle for warmth any more.

I thought about it, but at the moment I'm out of decaf everything. I'll have to pick up some decaf coffee if this is going to keep up.

It kind of feels like a window is open, since the heat keeps blowing in but the rooms aren't getting any warmer. Or maybe it's just me, and I've caught some sort of chill.

Well, on the plus side, it's not as cold as it was when the gas got turned off the weekend after Thanksgiving. That was a brutal few days. *shivers*

That's just a change in journal settings. I don't always want to have to watch my language here and I don't want to have to be thinking about it on an individual post basis, so I just changed the whole journal's setting.

Your description of your bundled-upness sounds like me most evenings (and I live in Mississippi!) Still, having been in your apartment in December, it is a bit of a surprise. I hope the heat has been re-established and that you will be more comfortable this evening.

I hope the heat is working properly and you will be warm from here on. I woke up during the night and wondered if there was something wrong with my heat but it must have just been me since it was fine when I got up this morning. Maybe I shouldn't set it so low an night.
