I'm watching Attack of the Cybermen (second 6th Doctor arc) and I keep waiting for Peri to grow on me. Boy is she ever not. Her American accent is iffy at best, and her personality alternates unpredictably between shrewish and cowardly. Of course, part of the problem may be that it's a Cyberman episode and they're almost universally bad. The plotting makes almost no sense and the acting is wretchedly bad all around. Colin Baker is growing on me, at any rate.

She's a carry over companion from the previous Doctor but I think she probably sticks around awhile.

I've never seen any Doctor Who with Peri. I've meant to branch out but so far, I've not got to it.

Poor Colin Baker. This episode was a bit of "WTF" as are all of his, actually, but what I like about Baker is that he has a very clear vision of how the Doctor should be and he sticks to it. His audios are so much better than the TV eps. With his TV eps you just have to handwave and go with it, and appreciate them more for the little things (like the chameleon circuit, lol) and their thematic attempts, than the whole.
